About Karen Blumenthal

Karen Blumenthal is a long-time journalist who has written for both adults and young people, including a regular column for The Wall Street Journal. Her books for children and young adults include Six Days in October: The Stock Market Crash of 1929, which was a Sibert Honor Book, Let Me Play: The Story of Title IX, which won a Jane Addams Children’s Book Award, Bootleg: Murder, Moonshine, and the Lawless Years of Prohibition, and Mr. Sam: How Sam Walton Built Walmart and Became America's Richest Man. She has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, the Today Show, CNN, and PBS Nightly Business Report. She works and lives in Dallas, Texas.
